Dear Colleagues,

The Asian Pacific Association for Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (APAB) was founded in 2008 with the mission of advancing the art and science of bronchology and interventional pulmonology across the Asia-Pacific region. Since the inaugural Asian Pacific Congress on Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology (APCB) held in Chiba, Japan, in 2005, our community has continued to grow, and we have successfully convened ten congresses, including the memorable 10th APCB in Taipei in 2025.

It is my great pleasure to invite you to the 11th Asian Pacific Congress on Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology, which will be held from March 2 to 4, 2027, at the Edsa Shangri-La in Manila, Philippines, in conjunction with the 46th Annual Chest Convention of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians. This congress will offer rich opportunities for in-depth learning through hands-on workshops, scientific sessions, and research presentations. Leading experts will share the latest updates on malignant and benign airway diseases, lung parenchymal disorders, mediastinal diseases, and pleural pathology, along with advanced and innovative techniques in diagnosis and management.

Beyond the scientific program, APCB 2027 will provide a warm environment to reconnect with colleagues and meet new friends who share our passion for respiratory health. Manila—renowned for its vibrant culture, historic charm, and world-famous Filipino hospitality—offers an ideal setting for both professional exchange and cultural exploration.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Julius J. Dalupang (Chair), Dr. Christine L. Chavez (Co-chair), and the APCB 2027 Organizing Committee for their dedication in preparing this congress. Their commitment ensures that APCB 2027 will be an inspiring and meaningful event for all participants.

We look forward to welcoming you to Manila in March 2027 for a unique blend of scientific advancement, collaboration, and cultural experience.

DALUPANG

It is our great pleasure to invite you to join us in Manila on March 2 to 4, 2027, for the 11th Asian Pacific Congress on Bronchology and Interventional Pulmonology.

Our theme, “Meeting the Needs and Challenges with Cutting-edge Technology: The Role of Interventional Pulmonology in the Asia-Pacific Region” underscores the great challenge we are now facing. In a region where respiratory diseases like tuberculosis, lung cancer, and COPD remain alarmingly prevalent, and with so much advancing technology at our disposal, how can we further innovate so that we can provide the most cost-effective pulmonary care for patients in resource-rich and resource-limited settings alike?

With the participation of world-renowned experts, we have designed a comprehensive scientific program and interactive hands-on workshops that aim to enrich our knowledge in relevant clinical issues and emerging technologies as well as refine our procedural skills. This is more than just a conference but an opportunity to connect, collaborate, and create solutions tailored for the unique challenges we face in the Asia-Pacific, and together we can bring hope to every breath.

The convention will be held in the Philippines, a country renowned for its warm and hospitable people, vibrant culture, world-class tourist destinations, and breathtaking pristine beaches. Beyond the academic experience, delegates will be able to enjoy the unique beauty and welcoming spirit that make the Philippines a truly memorable destination.

We look forward to warmly welcome you in Manila in March 2027.
